Pumped for Pumpkins!

It's that time.  Time to begin thinking of something fall-ish to put on the porch.  I keep it fairly simple.  Two of my bigger pots have beautiful dark red coleus so they don't get replanted.  I've already done mums in the other pots.  For me, it's pretty much finished with the addition of a pumpkin or two.  Here are some ideas I found while looking for inspiration.

What a clever idea.  Since my house number is 14 I might just do one big pumpkin with the number.

I like this a lot but will have to find a footed pot.  I probably would not add additional pumpkins.

We find plenty of bittersweet in this area.  For many years, when we did antique shows, we hauled huge quantities of bittersweet to shows.  I need to remind SC that it is time for a bittersweet gathering excursion.

The pumpkin sentry.  We've seen it before but it's a good idea still.  This idea is classy done with white pumpkins.

OK.  I'm pumped!  Two afternoon trips.  One for white pumpkins and one for bittersweet.  Fall is my favorite season.

  1. I try not to want autumn to hurry up and get here but about this time in August I can't help it. The pumpkin in the urn is my favorite but I'd have to get my sister to help carve it as she is a master at it. I'm going to pin that one! Thank you.
