What's New? Or not.

So, the new Pantone Color of the Year is announced.  The color is Emerald.  I'm not sure it will influence me more than it might have before it was chosen.  I'm a fan of green but my preferences tend toward the more earthy olives.  I looked around for some emerald inspiration. 

 

Why do I feel like Bette Davis is about to enter this room? 

 

 

 

 

 An interesting mix.  I doubt the chair is an homage to the color of the year, though.

I'm not bashing the color.  It's rich and beautiful. 

 

 

 

Especially when weighed in karats.
