My own suggestions for taking out the stress: Let others help. Designate responsibilities up to and including getting Aunt Martha there on time. Delete one thing from the menu. Remember kitties shouldn't have spices and puppies don't digest poultry bones easily.

My daughter and my adopted-by-love daughter are preparing their first Thanksgiving together. Her father and I are invited to join them. I know it will be a wonderful celebration for our little strangely cohesive family. The dad and I have been divorced for almost twenty years but we are good friends.
I am thankful for this little space where I can express myself. Most of all, I am thankful for those of you who read and respond. It matters.
Have a very special time of thanksgiving.
