Shelled pistachios reveal a variety of colors that complement each other well in the design world. Nature knows best, after all. Bold, perhaps, but nonetheless enchanting. Chartreuse, spring green, avocado, shades of yellow with cerise to rose hues. My bedroom has these colors. I like the colors for a snack as well. A large jar of pistachios in the shell is eternally ensconced on the island in my kitchen. A good friend keeps it stocked since he discovered the big bags at Sam's.
Chartreuse. My mom decorated our living room in these colors. I didn't like it then. I love it now. I found this good looking mug with pistachio colors. Here's a link to Blue Sky Pottery.
Ah, cerise. "You got the way to move me, Cherry." (Neil Diamond 1967) There is a touch of translucence to cherry red. A clear color, if you will. Any room I decorate has a smidge of red. I like brick red and cinnabar, too. Not so rosy, my reds.
Since we seem to be shopping, let's finish off with this color.
Yes. Paper bag brown. I like the color. I like it pale as the pale color of pistachio shells (Oh my! Obsession?) or riched up to a British tan. I adore the few paper bag brown shopping bags I have acquired since recycling is afoot. We used recycled brown paper shopping bags for our shop and when we started cleaning out the storage last week there was a big box from the last shipment. It was a bit sad but at least I have plenty.
